As New A refurbished product with a 5-star rating looks almost as new. You can expect that you will see almost no traces of use on a refurbished iPhone, for example. The screen has no visible scratches, the casing looks excellent and has no dents or scratches. Very exceptionally, you may see a very light trace of use if you hold an iPhone up to the light, for example. You choose a 5-star refurbished device if you want your new device to look excellent. There may be light traces of use on the bottom of a MacBook, laptop or iMac, but not on the "visible" parts.

The difference with a 5-star rating is that there may be one or more small inconspicuous scratches visible on, for example, the screen or the casing.
